Abstract :

Under article 42 it is considered that state shall make provision for just and humane conditions of work and for maternity relief. After independence government has formed various committees the recommendations of which have been used for the betterment of public health scenario in India. Even after 60 years of independence the health expenditure by the state is still just a miniscule proportion of GDP
