Syphilis And Pregnancy: A Single Case (interest Of Pec To Avoid Maternal-fetal Complications)
Abstract :
Syphilis is a maternal sexually transmitted infection responsible for congenital syphilis. Congenital syphilis is complicated by fetal loss and early neonatal death (50%), prematurity (25%) and serious sequelae in surviving children (20%). Prevention of infection is based on systematic screening at the start of pregnancy, to be prevented in the event of a high risk of exposure. Maternal management is based on the early administration of penicillin. Child care is based on diagnosis and early treatment with parenteral penicillin.
