A Case Of Spontaneous Klebsiella Pneumonia Ventriculitis Following Left Basal Pneumonia
Abstract :
We report a case of 35 year old male ought with a history of fever, headache and blurring of vision since three days. On examination, he had neck rigidity and bilateral crepts on auscultation with decreased air entry on left side. His total counts were raised, CSF showed leukocytosis and yielded Klebsiella pneumoniae on culture, chest radiograph revealed left mid and basal pneumonia.Patient was started on ticarcillin-clavlunate with toamycin and later imipenem was added. Patients condition improved over time and was discharged on 14th day after complete recovery.
